A group of Australian Designers came together to create a Stitch-Along to keep us in good spirits while we were in isolation. If we can't get out and about at least we can all stitch along together.
We decided to continue the Stitch-Along with our 2nd Event - Christmas In July. Over the next few months you will be able to download free 4" blocks from 12 different designers. To start the ball rolling many of us are giving you project ideas that you could possibly use your blocks for.
I am supplying you with a free pattern of a Christmas Tree Skirt to use the stitcheries from the Love & Hugs from Australia Stitch-A-Long No 2.
Adorn your Christmas Tree with this sweet tree-skirt combining stitchery, pieced trees and soft Christmas prints. Place this around the base of your Christmas tree ready for presents.
We have Fabric Kits available for the Tree Skirt $58 (includes all fabric for quilt top and ties + free pattern). This fabric pack contains fabric from my latest Christmas fabric range 'On The 12th Day'.
Note - no wadding or backing is included but we can organise this if requested at an extra charge of $39.
It is my turn to reveal my 4" stitchery. I decided to create a stitchery with an Angel, as I think they represent hope, along with a whole lot of love and wishes which we all need in our world today.
My free little Angel stitchery block and Stitching Guide can be downloaded here.
To go with my stitchery block, I have made two different projects, one being a tree skirt which can incorporate all 12 free downloadable stitcheries (1 from each designer). I have made this using my latest fabric range ‘On The 12th Day’. This free pattern can be found at the top of this page. I do have limited fabric packs available of this project which is available to purchase on my website and it is called Love and Hugs Christmas Tree Skirt.
I have also created another project which is a scallop topped bag, perfect for putting a gift in for your favourite friend or relative. You can use the free stitchery block, or a second design which comes with the bag pattern. This pattern and/or kit is also available on my website, and is named ‘Joy of Christmas Bags’ .
